30 days in. Here's what surprised us, what we got wrong, and what the data made obvious that the roadmap didn't.

First 30 days post-launch. Four things surprised us. Four things confirmed what we suspected. Here's the honest breakdown of what the data said vs. what we assumed, and what changes in Month 2.

What surprised us

The Brain works better than we expected after 30 days of engagement data. Performance Patterns and Engagement Signals are doing more lifting than we'd modeled.

The single biggest unlock isn't the AI model. It's the Knowledge Base. Users who upload three docs in setup see measurably better output than users who skip. Most users skip.

Setup averages 11 minutes. Almost everyone over-budgets. The barrier is mental, not real.

Pro tier is the sweet spot. 80%+ of trials convert there. Starter is a test-the-waters SKU. Founder is all agencies.

What we got wrong

We under-weighted Smart Onboarding. The first 10 minutes are the highest-leverage minutes of the entire product. We're rewriting the onboarding flow to make Knowledge Base the first step, not the fifth.

We over-engineered the Founder tier's API access. Nobody uses it yet. We'll leave it available but stop prioritizing it for Month 2.

What the data made obvious

Users who rate drafts in their first 48 hours have 3x better Week 2 content quality than users who don't. Rating is the hidden lever.
